Of course Georgia isn’t Rome, but my stomach turns as photos come back from Beijing of our George slapping athletes on the back. Word is he had a heated conversation with Putin after the opening ceremony, but then Putin flew back to Vladikavkaz, across the border from South Ossetia, while our George continues to watch the games.
In Georgia they must be wondering why they named a street after him.
